Bleeders

Bleeders are tools used to remove air from hydraulic brake systems. They are typically made of metal and have a long, thin spout that is inserted into the bleeder valve on the brake caliper. The spout is then opened, allowing air to escape from the system. Once all of the air has been removed, the bleeder valve is closed and the brake fluid level is checked.

Bleeders are an essential tool for any automotive mechanic, as they are necessary for maintaining the proper function of the braking system. There are a variety of different types of bleeders available, each with its own unique features. Some of the most common types of bleeders include:

  • Manual bleeders: These are the simplest type of bleeder and are typically operated by hand.
  • Pneumatic bleeders: These bleeders are powered by compressed air and are more efficient than manual bleeders.
  • Electric bleeders: These bleeders are powered by electricity and are the most efficient type of bleeder.
