The Sunmight Usa 01407 Film Open Coated Grip Disc is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring effective material removal and surface preparation. This 6-inch, P100 grit disc utilizes advanced polyester film backing and a premium aluminum oxide grain to deliver consistent performance and durability in demanding work environments.

Key Features

Polyester Film Backing: Provides superior tear resistance and flexibility compared to paper backings, ensuring a longer disc life and consistent finish even on contoured surfaces.
Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Offers aggressive cutting action for efficient material removal while maintaining excellent sharpness, ideal for various substrates including metals, plastics, and composites.
Open Coat Technology: Designed to minimize loading and clogging, especially when sanding softer materials or paints, enhancing disc life and maintaining cutting efficiency.
P100 Grit: An ideal grit for initial sanding stages, preparing surfaces, or removing moderate imperfections before finer finishing steps.
Velcro/Grip Attachment: Ensures quick, secure disc changes on compatible sanding tools, maximizing uptime and efficiency in the workshop.
Phenolic Resin Bond: Delivers high heat resistance and strong grain adhesion, preventing premature shedding of abrasive particles under heavy use.

Applications

This versatile grip disc is suitable for a wide range of professional tasks. It excels in automotive body repair for sanding primers, feather edging, and preparing surfaces for paint application. In industrial settings, it is effective for general material removal, deburring, rust removal, and conditioning metal surfaces prior to welding or coating. Its durable construction makes it a reliable choice for consistent performance across various projects and materials.
