The Sunmight 01410 Film Open Coated Grip Disc is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring consistent and efficient sanding. This 6-inch P180 grit disc features a durable polyester film backing and premium aluminum oxide grain, designed to deliver a uniform finish and extended disc life in demanding work environments.

Key Features

Durable Film Backing: Constructed with a robust polyester film backing that resists tearing and creasing, providing a more uniform sanding surface and enhanced durability.
P180 Grit Premium Aluminum Oxide: Utilizes high-quality P180 grit premium aluminum oxide grain for effective material removal and consistent scratch patterns, ideal for refining surfaces.
Open Coat Technology: Features an open coat design that minimizes loading and clogging, especially when sanding softer materials or paints, ensuring a longer effective sanding life.
Secure Grip Attachment: Designed for quick and secure attachment to compatible backing pads, allowing for fast disc changes and stable operation during use.
Phenolic Resin Bond: A strong phenolic resin bond securely anchors the abrasive grains to the backing, preventing premature shedding even under aggressive use.

Applications

This versatile grip disc is suitable for a wide range of professional tasks, including preparing surfaces for paint, primer, or sealer in automotive bodywork, sanding composites, or deburring and finishing metal components in industrial settings. The P180 grit is effective for medium-level material removal and surface preparation, making it a valuable tool for technicians working on collision repair, restoration projects, or general fabrication.
