Molding Clips
Molding clips attach exterior trim to the body: rocker panel and ground effect moldings, wheel opening and fender flares, body side and door cladding, bumper strips, spoilers and windshield or rear window reveal moldings. The clip snaps into a hole in the body and the molding slides or snaps onto its head. Many have a foam sealer pad on the base to keep water out of the hole.
Listings give the top head size, the bottom or stem diameter and the vehicles each clip fits, so you can match the original part. Brands include Auveco, Disco Automotive Hardware and W&E, with sealer-backed versions for GM, Hyundai, Jeep, Subaru and other makes, and universal clips and shop dispensers.
Moldings are easy to damage when a brittle clip lets go. Replacing clips whenever a molding is removed for paint or body work keeps it tight against the panel.
