Nameplate Repair Tape, Gray, .236" - 3M Automotive

The 3M Automotive Nameplate Repair Tape, Model 6385, provides a professional-grade adhesive solution for the secure reattachment of exterior vehicle components. Engineered with a high-strength acrylic foam bond, this specialized gray tape ensures lasting attachment for automotive nameplates, emblems, and trim, even under demanding environmental conditions. It is an indispensable tool for professional technicians focused on maintaining original aesthetics and preventing component loss in automotive repair and restoration.

Key Features

• High-Strength Acrylic Foam Adhesive: This tape utilizes OEM-approved acrylic foam technology to deliver a permanent, robust bond essential for maintaining the integrity of exterior automotive components. It provides high peel and shear adhesion along with high internal strength for reliable attachment.
• Discreet Gray Color & Thin Profile: Formulated to blend seamlessly with various automotive surfaces, the gray color helps ensure repairs are virtually invisible. Its thin 0.030-inch (0.76 mm) profile allows for a flush fit, contributing to less noticeable attachments.
• Exceptional Conformability: The viscoelastic foam core is designed to conform effectively to contoured and irregular surfaces, ensuring secure adhesion on complex geometries common to vehicle emblems and badges.
• Durable & Weather-Resistant: Built to withstand temperature fluctuations, moisture, road dirt, and frequent car washes, this tape provides an excellent barrier against corrosion and ensures long-term adhesion for exterior components.
• Precise .236 Inch Width: This exact width facilitates accurate application on narrow components, minimizing adhesive squeeze-out for a clean, factory-like repair.
