Internal snap rings designed for use in housings, boxes, etc. External snap rings designed for use in shafts, studs, etc. Pliers supplied with spring ratchet lock assembly which allows the ring to be compressed or expanded with gradual adjustments which lock at the desired size without continued pressure on the handles. Made of high quality carbon steel with black-oxide finish to resist rust and other corrosions. Tips heat treated for a secure grip. Tips not provided with pliers when pliers are ordered individually
