16PC 1/4 & 3/8" Dr. Metric Wobble Hex Bit Socket Set - Genius Tools

The Genius Tools BS-2316WH 16PC 1/4" & 3/8" Dr. Metric Wobble Hex Bit Socket Set is engineered for professional technicians and mechanics who frequently encounter hex fasteners in confined or obstructed spaces. This comprehensive set features both 1/4" and 3/8" drive wobble-design sockets, providing crucial angular engagement when direct, straight-line access is challenging across various demanding automotive and industrial applications.

Key Features

• Wobble Hex Design: Delivers a controlled angular offset, allowing access to recessed and obstructed metric hex fasteners where a straight approach is not possible, while maintaining secure drive contact and preventing fastener damage. This design is particularly useful for reaching bolts and nuts at awkward angles.
• Dual Drive Versatility: Includes both 1/4" and 3/8" drive wobble hex bit sockets, ensuring broad compatibility with common professional ratchets, extensions, and torque tools used in diverse workshops.
• Professional-Grade Construction: Constructed from robust, high-strength materials, with precision-machined bits and sockets, this set is engineered to withstand high torque loads, repeated daily use, and harsh shop conditions. Many professional-grade bit sockets utilize S2 steel for bits and Cr-V steel for sockets, known for their durability.
• Comprehensive Metric Coverage: This 16-piece set covers frequently encountered metric hex sizes across a range of modern passenger vehicles, light trucks, and industrial machinery, enhancing versatility.
• Secure Fastener Engagement: Hex profiles are precisely engineered for a positive, non-marring fit, which significantly helps reduce cam-out and prevents fastener rounding even under substantial load.

Applications

• Automotive Service: Ideal for tasks within tight engine bays, intake and accessory bracket adjustments, under-dash component access, and brake, suspension, or transmission housing work where space is often constrained. Wobble sockets can provide the necessary angle for a ratchet handle to swing freely near obstructions.
• Fleet and Diesel Repair: Suitable for reaching recessed hex fasteners on commercial vehicles, vans, and light-duty diesel platforms common in comprehensive fleet maintenance operations.
• Industrial and Plant Maintenance: Useful for the assembly and servicing of manufacturing equipment, production machinery, and fixtures where hex hardware may be situated behind guards or frames.
• General Mechanical Work: A practical and valuable addition for any professional mechanic seeking improved access in situations where standard hex bit sockets cannot achieve the necessary angle for efficient and safe operation.
