8" WIRE STRIPPER QAW - Vise-Grip

The Vise-Grip 2078309 8" Multi-Tool Wire Stripper is engineered for professional technicians and mechanics requiring reliable performance across diverse electrical tasks. This versatile automotive and industrial tool integrates self-adjusting wire stripping, precise cutting, and dependable crimping into a single unit. Its all-in-one design streamlines workflows and enhances efficiency in demanding shop and field environments, reducing the need to constantly switch between multiple specialized tools.

Key Features

• Self-Adjusting Stripping Head: Automatically strips 10–24 AWG wire without requiring manual adjustments, preventing conductor nicks and accelerating repetitive electrical work.
• Integrated Crimping Stations: Designed for robust automotive harness repairs, reliably crimps 11–22 AWG insulated and non-insulated terminals, alongside 7–9 mm ignition terminals.
• Durable Wire and Bolt Cutters: Induction-hardened cutting edges ensure clean, precise cuts on copper wire and common small fasteners, contributing to extended tool life in rigorous daily use.
• Pliers-Style Control Nose: The narrow-profile nose enables effective gripping, pulling, and looping of wire in tight, confined spaces, such as under-dash panels or engine bays.
• ProTouch™ Ergonomic Grips: Cushioned handles are engineered to reduce hand fatigue during prolonged electrical work, enhancing user control and comfort for intricate tasks.
• Adjustable Wire Stop: Allows technicians to set consistent strip lengths, ideal for production-style work like building harnesses or performing repeat terminal terminations.

Applications

This multi-tool is particularly well-suited for a range of automotive electrical diagnostics and repair tasks, including maintenance on lighting circuits, sensor leads, trailer wiring, and ignition systems on passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks. It also proves effective for industrial maintenance, equipment wiring, and general electrical tasks in various shop, fleet, and facility environments where efficiency and repeatable quality are paramount.
