• Select a chisel or punch that fits the job
• Do not use a cold chisel on stone or concrete
• Do not use a cold chisel on materials that are harder than the cutting edge of the chisel
• Use a punch and chisel holder to prevent hand injury
• The striking face of a hammer should have a diameter approximately larger than the struck face of the tool
