Key Features
- Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes a high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive for aggressive cutting action and extended disc life on various substrates.
- Open Coat Design: Engineered with an open coat to minimize loading and clogging, especially when sanding soft materials or paints, ensuring a longer effective sanding period.
- Durable Latex Paper Backing: The robust latex paper backing offers flexibility and strength, resisting tearing and enhancing the disc's overall durability during rigorous use.
- Strong Phenolic Resin Bond: A superior phenolic resin bond securely anchors the abrasive grain to the backing, preventing premature shedding and maintaining consistent sanding performance.
- 6-inch No-Hole Grip Design: The 6-inch diameter and hook-and-loop (Velcro) backing provide secure attachment to compatible sanders, while the no-hole configuration is ideal for applications where dust extraction via the disc is not necessary.
Applications
This versatile P180 grit grip disc is suitable for a wide range of professional tasks. It excels in automotive bodywork for feather edging, preparing surfaces for primer application, or light rust removal. In industrial settings, it's ideal for shaping and sanding wood, composites, plastics, and metals, making it a reliable choice for furniture manufacturing, marine applications, and general fabrication where a medium-fine finish is required prior to further processing or painting.
