Sunmight USA presents the Gold 02210 Open Coated Grip Disc, a professional-grade abrasive engineered for demanding automotive and industrial applications. This 5-inch, P180 grit disc is designed for efficient material removal and surface preparation, delivering consistent performance for technicians and mechanics requiring durable and effective sanding solutions.
Key Features
- Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes high-quality aluminum oxide for aggressive cutting and extended disc life, ensuring efficient material removal across various substrates.
- 5-inch No-Hole Grip Design: The 5-inch diameter and "no-hole" pattern provide a full abrasive surface for even sanding, while the grip (Velcro) backing allows for quick and secure attachment and removal from orbital sanders.
- P180 Grit for Versatile Applications: The P180 grit is ideal for feather edging, removing minor imperfections, preparing surfaces for primers, and light stock removal on metal, wood, and composite materials.
- Durable Latex Paper Backing: Constructed with a flexible yet tear-resistant latex paper backing that conforms to contours and withstands rigorous use.
- Phenolic Resin Bond: A robust phenolic resin bond securely anchors the abrasive grains, resisting heat buildup and preventing premature shedding for enhanced durability.
- Open Coat Technology: The open coat design minimizes loading and clogging, particularly when sanding softer materials, paint, or body fillers, ensuring sustained cutting action.
Applications
This Sunmight Gold grip disc is well-suited for a variety of tasks in professional shops. It excels in automotive bodywork for preparing panels prior to primer application, feather edging existing paint, and refining filler work. In industrial settings, it is effective for general sanding, deburring, and surface conditioning of metals, plastics, and wood components, providing a consistent finish required for subsequent coatings or processes.
