This 6-inch, P120 grit disc features a premium aluminum oxide grain and an open coat design, providing efficient material removal and a consistent finish on various surfaces encountered by professional technicians and mechanics.
Key Features
- Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Offers aggressive cutting action and extended disc life, ideal for demanding sanding tasks and ensuring consistent performance over time.
- Open Coat Design: Minimizes clogging, especially when working with softer materials or finishes such as body filler and primer, ensuring sustained cutting efficiency.
- Durable Latex Paper Backing: Provides flexibility and tear resistance, adapting well to contoured surfaces while maintaining structural integrity during rigorous use.
- Phenolic Resin Bond: Securely anchors the abrasive grains to the backing, preventing premature shedding and maximizing disc durability under high-stress applications.
- Grip (Velcro) Attachment: Enables quick and secure disc changes on compatible random orbital or DA sanders, enhancing workflow efficiency in busy workshops.
- P120 Grit: Ideal for intermediate sanding stages, effectively preparing surfaces for primer or paint and refining previous sanding marks for a smoother base.
Applications
This versatile grip disc is suitable for a range of professional tasks, including automotive bodywork for paint and primer preparation, feather edging, and efficiently removing rust or old finishes. In industrial settings, it excels in general surface preparation, sanding wood, composites, and various metals where a consistent P120 grit finish is required for subsequent coatings or processes.
