Key Features
- P1000 Premium Aluminum Oxide Grit: Delivers a fine cut for critical finishing stages, preparing surfaces for polishing or subsequent coatings with minimal scratching.
- Durable Polyester Film Backing: Provides superior tear resistance and flexibility compared to paper backings, ensuring consistent performance on contours and flat surfaces.
- Open Coat Technology: Reduces loading and clogging, especially when sanding softer materials or existing paint, extending disc life and maintaining cutting efficiency.
- Phenolic Resin Bond: Offers excellent heat resistance and secures the abrasive grain firmly to the backing, preventing premature shedding under high-friction use.
- 3-inch No-Hole Grip Design: Optimized for detail work, spot repairs, and use on rotary or random orbital sanders that require a solid, consistent abrasive surface.
Applications
This premium grip disc is suitable for a range of professional tasks, including fine sanding of primers, clear coats, and lacquers to remove minor imperfections or prepare for buffing. It is effective for blending paint transitions, feather-edging repairs, and performing final surface preparation on various substrates in automotive body shops, detailing centers, and industrial manufacturing settings. Its P1000 grit allows for efficient defect removal without creating deep scratches that require extensive rework.
