The Sunmight Usa 47406 Film Open Coated Multi Hole Grip Disc is a 6-inch, P80 grit abrasive tool engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications. Designed for superior performance and durability, this disc delivers efficient material removal and consistent finishes across various demanding tasks. Its robust construction and advanced features cater to the needs of professional technicians and mechanics, ensuring reliable results.

Key Features

Durable Film Backing: Constructed with a polyester film backing, this disc offers exceptional tear resistance and flexibility, outperforming traditional paper-backed abrasives. This makes it ideal for sanding contours, edges, and irregular shapes, and it is suitable for both dry and wet sanding applications.
P80 Grit Abrasive: The P80 grit is well-suited for aggressive material removal, effectively shaping body filler, stripping old paint, and eliminating rust from metal or fiberglass surfaces.
Open Coat Design: Featuring an open coat, the abrasive minimizes loading and clogging, particularly when working with softer materials like body fillers, paints, and certain metals. This design promotes cooler sanding and extends the disc's operational life.
Multi-Hole Dust Extraction: The innovative multi-hole pattern ensures superior dust extraction, contributing to a cleaner work environment, reduced surface contamination, and sustained cutting performance.
Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes premium aluminum oxide abrasive grain, known for its fast, sharp cutting action and extended product lifespan, enhancing overall productivity.
Phenolic Resin Bond: A strong phenolic resin bond securely anchors the abrasive grains to the backing, providing high heat resistance, durability, and consistent performance even under rigorous use.

Applications

This versatile grip disc is essential for numerous professional applications, including:

Automotive Refinishing: Ideal for heavy coating removal, initial surface preparation, and shaping body filler in vehicle repair and restoration.
Metalworking: Effective for rust removal, surface leveling, and preparing metal surfaces for further treatment.
Industrial Surface Preparation: Suitable for general material removal on various substrates, including wood, composites, and marine surfaces.
