Film 01405 Open Coated Grip Disc, 6 in, P60 Grit, Premium Al - Sunmight Usa

The Sunmight Usa Film 01405 Open Coated Grip Disc is engineered for demanding professional applications, delivering efficient material removal and consistent performance. This 6-inch P60 grit disc utilizes a premium aluminum oxide abrasive on a durable film backing, designed to withstand rigorous use in automotive and industrial settings. Its construction ensures longevity and reliability for tasks requiring aggressive stock removal.

Key Features

• Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Provides aggressive cutting action and extended disc life, ideal for rapidly stripping paint, shaping body filler, or removing rust and scale.
• Durable Polyester Film Backing: Offers superior tear resistance and dimensional stability compared to paper-backed discs, ensuring a more uniform finish and conforming well to contoured surfaces.
• Phenolic Resin Bond: Ensures excellent grain retention even under high heat and pressure, preventing premature shedding of abrasive particles and maintaining cutting efficiency.
• Open Coat Design: Minimizes loading and clogging, especially when working on softer materials or paint, which prolongs the disc's effective sanding life.
• Grip (Velcro) Attachment: Facilitates quick and secure disc changes on compatible orbital or random orbital sanders, enhancing workflow efficiency without the need for additional tools.
• 6-inch, No-Hole Configuration: Maximizes the usable abrasive surface area, providing consistent cutting across the entire disc for comprehensive material removal.

Applications

This versatile P60 grit film disc is well-suited for a variety of tasks where aggressive material removal and robust performance are critical.

• Automotive Body Repair: Excellent for stripping old paint and primer, shaping auto body filler, and preparing metal surfaces for subsequent finer grits or coatings.
• Industrial Fabrication: Ideal for initial deburring, aggressive material removal on metal surfaces, and preparing welds for blending.
• Woodworking: Effective for heavy stock removal, shaping, and leveling rough wood surfaces prior to finer sanding stages.
• Marine Applications: Useful for preparing fiberglass and gelcoat surfaces, including removing old finishes or shaping repairs.
