The Sunmight 01314 Film Open Coated Sanding Disc is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring precise surface preparation and finishing. This 6-inch, P320 grit sanding disc features a robust construction designed to deliver consistent results and extended lifespan in demanding environments. Ideal for technicians and mechanics, it provides the reliability needed for high-quality work.

Key Features

Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes a high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive for efficient material removal and a uniform scratch pattern.
Durable Polyester Film Backing: Constructed with a strong polyester film backing that offers superior flexibility, tear resistance, and edge durability, outperforming traditional paper backings.
Phenolic Resin Bond: Features a strong phenolic resin bond to securely anchor the abrasive grains, enhancing heat resistance and preventing premature shedding during aggressive sanding.
Open Coat Technology: The open coat design minimizes loading and clogging, especially when working on softer materials or paint, thereby extending the disc's operational life.
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA): Equipped with a no-hole PSA backing for quick, secure attachment and easy removal from compatible sander pads.
P320 Grit: Delivers a fine finish, making it suitable for preparing surfaces for primer, paint, or clear coat applications, as well as light defect removal.

Applications

This versatile sanding disc is well-suited for a variety of tasks in professional settings, including:

Automotive Refinishing: Ideal for preparing vehicle body panels before priming or painting, feathering edges, and addressing minor surface imperfections.
Industrial Finishing: Effective for finishing composite materials, metals, and various hard surfaces in manufacturing and repair operations.
Woodworking: Provides excellent results for fine sanding of wood and wood composites, achieving a smooth surface prior to staining or sealing.
General Surface Preparation: Suitable for blending, scuffing, and conditioning surfaces to ensure optimal adhesion for subsequent coatings or treatments.
