The Sunmight USA 01110 Film Open Coated Sanding Disc is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring a consistent and durable abrasive. Featuring a robust polyester film backing and premium P180 grit aluminum oxide, this 5-inch PSA disc delivers reliable performance for critical sanding tasks, ensuring a refined finish on various substrates.

Key Features

Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive for aggressive cutting action and extended disc life, ideal for efficient material removal and surface preparation.
Durable Polyester Film Backing: Constructed with a resilient polyester film backing, providing superior tear resistance and dimensional stability compared to paper-backed discs, which leads to a more uniform scratch pattern.
Open Coat Technology: The open coat design minimizes loading and clogging, especially when sanding softer materials or paints, ensuring a consistent cutting performance throughout the disc's lifespan.
Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA): Equipped with a strong PSA backing for quick, secure attachment and easy removal from compatible sanding pads, optimizing workflow efficiency.
P180 Grit for Refinement: The P180 grit is suitable for preparing surfaces for primer, fine-sanding body fillers, or initial sanding stages on clear coats, providing a foundation for subsequent finer grits.

Applications

This professional-grade sanding disc is ideal for a wide range of tasks performed by technicians and mechanics. It excels in automotive body repair for paint and primer preparation, feather edging, and leveling body fillers. In industrial settings, it is well-suited for sanding wood, composites, plastics, and metals where a consistent finish and durable abrasive are required.
