This 5-inch P150 grit sanding disc combines premium abrasive materials with advanced backing technology to meet the rigorous demands of professional technicians and mechanics.

Key Features

• Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes high-quality aluminum oxide abrasive for aggressive cutting action, fast material removal, and a long operational lifespan.
• Durable Polyester Film Backing: Features a strong and tear-resistant polyester film backing, offering enhanced durability and flexibility, particularly advantageous when sanding edges, corners, and contoured surfaces.
• Open Coat Design: The open coat configuration minimizes loading and clogging, especially when working with softer materials like softwoods, aluminum, or brass, promoting cooler sanding and extending disc life.
• Phenolic Resin Bond: A robust phenolic resin bond securely anchors the abrasive grains to the film backing, ensuring excellent durability and significantly reducing grain shedding during use.
• Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA): Equipped with a no-hole Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) backing for secure attachment to your sander and quick, hassle-free disc changes.
• Consistent, Scratch-Free Finish: The uniform mineral coating on the perfectly even film surface provides an outstanding finish without deep scratch marks, surpassing the performance of traditional paper-backed abrasives.

Applications

This versatile sanding disc is ideal for a wide range of professional tasks, including automotive refinishing, marine, and aerospace applications. It excels in preparing surfaces for paint, leveling primers, and achieving a smooth, consistent finish on clear coats. The open coat design makes it particularly effective on softer materials such as body fillers, paints, soft metals (like aluminum and zinc), and softwoods, where clogging can be a common issue. Its flexibility also makes it suitable for intricate work on contoured parts and irregular shapes.
