The Titan 13-Pc Extra Long Ball End SAE Hex Key Set (Model 12713) is engineered for professional technicians and mechanics requiring superior reach and versatility in demanding environments. This comprehensive set provides a full range of SAE sizes, designed to access fasteners in confined spaces and deliver reliable torque for secure fastening and removal.
Key Features
- Extended Reach Design: Each hex key features an extra-long arm, providing critical access to fasteners located in deep recesses or obstructed areas common in automotive, marine, and industrial machinery.
- Dual-Function Tips: The long arm incorporates a ball end for entry angles up to 25 degrees, facilitating quicker insertion and removal in awkward positions. The short arm offers a chamfered straight hex tip, delivering maximum torque and leverage for breaking loose stubborn fasteners.
- Durable Construction: Manufactured from chrome molybdenum steel, these hex keys are built for strength and resilience under heavy use. A mirror-polished chrome-plated finish resists corrosion, ensuring long-term tool integrity.
- Enhanced Grip and Identification: A patent-pending textured finish provides a secure grip, even when hands are wet or oily. Color-coding and clear laser-etched size markings enable rapid identification of the correct tool, minimizing downtime.
Applications
This hex key set is indispensable for a variety of professional applications, including automotive repair, marine maintenance, and industrial machinery assembly and service. Its extra-long design is particularly beneficial for reaching engine components, transmission fasteners, or machinery parts where standard hex keys cannot reach. The ball end allows for efficient operation in tight engine bays or complex assemblies, while the robust short arm tackles seized bolts on heavy equipment.
