9PC Triple Square Socket Bit Set - Mayhew Tools

The Mayhew 16024 9PC Triple Square Socket Bit Set is specifically designed for professional automotive and industrial technicians who regularly work with XZN fasteners. This comprehensive set provides a full range of essential triple square sizes, integrating each bit permanently into a durable socket for optimal secure drive engagement and efficient torque transfer in demanding workshop environments. It offers a dedicated solution for professionals frequently encountering these specialized fasteners, particularly on European vehicles and various industrial equipment.

Key Features

• Comprehensive XZN Coverage: This 9-piece set includes critical triple square (XZN) sizes from 4mm to 18mm for common fasteners found in Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and other European vehicle applications.
• Precision-Machined Bit Tips: Engineered with accurate triple square profiles, these bits are designed to minimize cam-out and reduce fastener rounding, ensuring positive engagement, especially on stubborn or high-torque bolts. This design distributes torque more evenly across the fastener head, making it ideal for critical drivetrain and engine assembly bolts.
• Integrated Socket-Bit Construction: The one-piece design of the socket and bit ensures a secure connection to drive tools, optimizing power transfer under load for enhanced efficiency and reliability. This also provides increased leverage and torque compared to standard screwdrivers.
• Professional-Grade Durability: Manufactured by Mayhew Tools from robust S2 tool steel for the bits and alloy steel for the sockets, with proprietary heat treatment, these tools are built to withstand the rigors of busy automotive and industrial service, supporting a long operational lifespan. Sockets are fully polished and chrome-plated for superior corrosion resistance.
• Organized for Efficiency: The set's organized format keeps all triple square sizes readily accessible, allowing for quicker selection and access at the workbench or in a tool chest.

Applications

This 9-piece triple square socket bit set is essential for working on European vehicles, including models from VW, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz, where XZN fasteners are standard. Technicians will find this set critical for tasks involving engine components, transmission and drivetrain service, brake caliper and bracket fasteners, and suspension and subframe work. XZN fasteners are commonly used in high-torque applications such as cylinder head bolts and drive train components. Additionally, it is suitable for various industrial machinery and equipment that utilize triple square fasteners, providing a dedicated solution for specialized fastener removal and installation.
