Key Features
- Precision 16mm Fitment: Designed specifically for 16mm spark plugs found in many newer import and domestic vehicles, including coil-on-plug applications.
- 12-Point Engagement: The internal 12-point configuration provides positive contact with the spark plug hex, reducing the risk of rounding, particularly with aluminum cylinder heads.
- Extended Reach Profile: With an approximate length of 6.25 inches, this socket offers necessary access to deep, narrow spark plug tubes and tight engine compartments while maintaining control.
- Professional-Grade Durability: Constructed to withstand daily rigorous use in professional shop environments, fleet maintenance, and demanding DIY garages.
Applications
The CTA 4329 Spark Plug Socket is suitable for the removal and installation of 16mm spark plugs in late-model passenger cars and light trucks. It excels in applications such as tune-ups, scheduled maintenance, and engine repairs on vehicles featuring recessed plug wells, overhead cam designs, and coil-on-plug ignition systems. This tool is ideal for both import and domestic platforms where precise engagement and clearance are critical to prevent damage to plugs, threads, and surrounding components.
