2 Pc Electrical Plier Set - Knipex

The Knipex 9K 00 80 148 US 2 Pc Electrical Plier Set provides professional automotive, heavy truck, fleet, and industrial electricians with a robust and reliable solution for everyday electrical tasks. This professional-grade kit includes a 9 1/2" high-leverage lineman's plier and an 8" forged wire stripper, both constructed from special tool steel and vanadium steel for exceptional durability and consistent performance in demanding work environments.

Key Features

• High-Leverage Lineman's Pliers (09 01 240): These 9 1/2" pliers are engineered for up to 50% higher cutting power than standard combination pliers, allowing them to effortlessly handle both hard and soft wire. Their cross-hatched knurled jaws ensure a solid grip on conductors and fasteners, complemented by an additional serrated gripping zone for powerful pulling and twisting.
• Precision Forged Wire Stripper (13 71 8): The 8" wire stripper accurately strips solid and stranded wire from 20–10 AWG, accommodating common automotive, truck, and industrial circuits.
• Integrated Cutting and Shearing: Shear blades cleanly cut NM-B, battery cable, and BX, while integrated 6-32 and 8-32 screw cutters preserve threads for device installation. Tactile locating ridges aid in finding the correct stripping station by feel, even in low-light conditions.
• Durable Construction: Both tools are forged from high-grade special tool steel and vanadium steel, then multi-stage oil-hardened for an extended service life under rigorous professional use.
• Enhanced Control: Non-slip plastic-coated handles provide a secure and comfortable grip, maintaining control even when wearing gloves.

Applications

This Knipex electrical set is well-suited for installation, repair, and maintenance across various applications. Use the lineman’s pliers for cutting and pulling conductors, twisting grounds, and securely gripping connectors and hardware on passenger vehicles, light trucks, heavy-duty tractors, and buses. The forged wire stripper is ideal for harness work, relay and fuse panel wiring, upfitter installations, control cabinet wiring, equipment wiring, and trimming device screws in both shop and field service environments. It is important to note these tools are not 1000V insulated and should only be used on de-energized systems.
