Cable Cutting Pliers - Milwaukee Electric Tools

The Milwaukee 48-22-6104 Cable Cutting Pliers are engineered for professional technicians and mechanics requiring precise and reliable cuts on copper and aluminum cable. These pliers are built to deliver consistent performance and durability across demanding automotive, field, and industrial settings, facilitating efficient and clean preparation of various cable types for secure terminations.

Key Features

• Forged Steel Construction: Provides professional-grade durability and resilience, suitable for daily use in automotive service bays, industrial electrical panels, and general maintenance tasks.
• Induction-Hardened Cutting Jaws: Maintains a sharp edge for clean, burr-minimized cuts on both copper and aluminum cables, improving the quality of electrical connections and reducing preparation time.
• Compound Leverage Mechanism: Optimized geometry enhances cutting power, allowing for easier severance of larger diameter automotive battery cables, starter/alternator leads, and multi-strand conductors with reduced hand force.
• Ergonomic, Non-Slip Grips: Ensures comfortable and secure control, minimizing hand fatigue during repetitive cutting operations, whether working with or without gloves.
• Compact 9.5-inch Length: Offers a practical tool size that fits conveniently into tool carts and bags, providing sufficient leverage for common shop and field cable dimensions.

Applications

These cable cutting pliers are well-suited for professional electricians, automotive technicians, and industrial maintenance crews. Typical applications include the preparation and cutting of battery cables, starter and alternator leads, and wiring for aftermarket accessories on passenger vehicles, light trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and fleet equipment. They are also ideal for panel work, control wiring, and telecommunications or low-voltage cable preparation where clean, precise cuts are critical for secure terminations, lugs, and splices.
