The OTC Tools 6583 StrutTamer Bridge Tool Accessory is an essential component designed to enhance the capabilities of your existing OTC StrutTamer and StrutTamer Elite/HD strut compressor systems. This accessory specifically addresses the challenge of compressing MacPherson strut springs that cannot be sufficiently compressed by standard methods to allow for the removal of the retaining nut. By providing additional leverage and secure engagement with the strut assembly's top plate, the 6583 facilitates safer and more efficient strut service for professional technicians.

Key Features

Enhanced Spring Compression: Designed to facilitate the compression of stubborn MacPherson strut springs, allowing access to the retaining nut that might otherwise be out of reach.
Broad Compatibility: Works seamlessly with OTC StrutTamer (No. 6580), StrutTamer Elite, and StrutTamer HD models, integrating directly into the existing strut compressor setup.
Professional-Grade Construction: Manufactured from high-strength steel, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance in demanding shop environments.
Increased Safety and Efficiency: Enhances tool stability during operation, contributing to a safer work environment and reducing the time required for strut assembly removal and installation.
Easy Integration: Designed for straightforward attachment to the StrutTamer's top plate, ensuring solid contact and secure clamping of the locking jaws.
Limited Lifetime Warranty: Backed by OTC Tools' commitment to quality with a limited lifetime warranty.

Applications

This bridge accessory is ideal for professional automotive and industrial technicians performing service on MacPherson strut assemblies, particularly on vehicles where the strut springs are difficult to compress adequately using conventional methods. It allows for the safe removal of the piston rod nut after the spring has been sufficiently compressed and loosened in its mounts. The OTC 6583 ensures that a wider range of strut applications can be serviced efficiently and safely within the workshop.
