Body File Sheet - 36E Blue Magnum - Norton Company

The Norton Company 23622 Body File Sheet - 36E Blue Magnum is a professional-grade abrasive engineered for efficient and aggressive material removal in demanding automotive and industrial environments. This heavy-duty body file sheet provides technicians with reliable cutting power and extended durability, making it an essential tool for rapid stock removal and consistent performance across various substrates.

Key Features

• Aggressive 36E Coarse Grit: Designed for rapid material removal, effectively stripping paint, rust, and old coatings from vehicle panels, body filler, and metal surfaces. This coarse grit is ideal for quickly tackling tough surfaces.
• Blue Magnum Abrasive Technology: Incorporates Norton's advanced abrasive grain technology to enhance cutting efficiency, reduce loading, and prolong the sheet's operational lifespan under rigorous professional use. The self-sharpening NorZon grain contributes to faster, cooler cutting.
• Heavy-Duty Construction: Built to withstand demanding applications, featuring a latex-reinforced E-weight backing that improves performance and flexibility while resisting edge chipping, tearing, and curling. This ensures reliable and consistent performance throughout its working life in busy workshops.
• Standard Body File Compatibility: Its precise dimensions ensure seamless integration with common body file holders, offering versatility for a wide range of repair and fabrication tasks.
• Consistent Scratch Pattern: A refined coating technique ensures a uniform and consistent scratch pattern, crucial for achieving high-quality finishes and reducing subsequent finishing steps.

Applications

The Body File Sheet - 36E Blue Magnum is specifically engineered for a variety of professional applications:

• Automotive Body Repair: Ideal for stripping paint, removing rust, and initial shaping of body filler on vehicle panels and components during autobody restoration and collision repair. Abrasive sheets are crucial for surface preparation before painting or coating, ensuring proper adhesion.
• Metal Fabrication: Suitable for aggressive material removal, deburring, and initial surface preparation on a wide range of metal substrates.
• Weld Preparation: Used to efficiently clean and bevel edges before welding, which promotes proper adhesion and contributes to overall weld quality.
• Rough Shaping: Facilitates the quick and effective shaping of metal surfaces and composite materials in fabrication and repair environments.
