The Sunmight Gold 02316 Open Coated Sanding Disc is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring a consistent, fine finish. This 6-inch, P400 grit PSA disc provides reliable performance for preparing surfaces, refining finishes, and achieving optimal results before painting or polishing. Its premium construction ensures durability and efficiency in demanding work environments.

Key Features

Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Backing: Designed for quick and secure attachment to sanding pads, facilitating rapid disc changes and maximizing workflow efficiency.
Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Utilizes a high-quality abrasive grain that delivers a consistent cut, extended disc life, and superior surface preparation on various materials.
Latex Paper Backing: Features a flexible yet durable latex paper backing that resists tearing and provides conformability to contours, ensuring uniform sanding pressure.
Phenolic Resin Bond: Employs a robust phenolic resin bond to securely anchor the abrasive grains, minimizing shedding and enhancing the disc's overall durability and cutting aggression.
Open Coat Design: The open coat construction prevents premature loading and pilling, especially when sanding softer materials or clear coats, maintaining cutting efficiency throughout its lifespan.
P400 Grit Finish: Ideal for fine finishing stages, effectively removing minor imperfections, refining previous sanding marks, and creating a smooth, uniform surface ready for subsequent coatings.

Applications

This sanding disc is suitable for a wide range of professional applications, including automotive bodywork for sanding primers, sealers, and clear coats, as well as industrial finishing on wood, composites, and metals. It is particularly effective for final surface preparation before painting or clear coating, ensuring excellent adhesion and a flawless finish.
