Gold 02314 Open Coated Sanding Disc, 6 in, P320 Grit, Premiu - Sunmight Usa

The Sunmight Gold 02314 Open Coated Sanding Disc is engineered for professional technicians and mechanics seeking reliable performance in automotive and industrial applications. This 6-inch, P320 grit disc combines premium abrasive materials with a durable construction to deliver consistent results for various finishing tasks. Its specialized design minimizes clogging and ensures a smooth, uniform finish.

Key Features

• Premium Aluminum Oxide Grain: Crafted with high-quality aluminum oxide, this sanding disc offers exceptional durability, consistent cutting action, and sustained sharpness for effective material removal. It is versatile for use on wood, metal, plastics, and composites.
• Open Coat Technology: The open coat design significantly reduces loading, especially when sanding softer materials, primers, or body fillers, by allowing sanding residue to flake off. This also promotes airflow, which helps to keep the abrasive cooler and extends disc life.
• Durable Latex Paper Backing: Featuring a high-quality latex paper backing, this disc provides excellent flexibility and resistance to tearing and edge wear. This contributes to a longer service life and a consistently high-quality surface finish, making it suitable for intricate and contoured surfaces.
• Strong Phenolic Resin Bond: The abrasive grains are securely bonded with a robust phenolic resin, known for its high strength, thermal stability, and wear resistance. This strong bond ensures grain retention even under high temperatures and stress, providing consistent performance and durability.
• Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) Attachment: Equipped with a reliable PSA backing, the disc allows for quick, easy, and secure attachment to compatible sanding tools, ensuring a firm hold during demanding operations.
• P320 Grit for Fine Finishing: The P320 grit is ideal for achieving fine finishes, perfect for smoothing primers, blending transitions, and preparing surfaces for painting by removing minor imperfections and scuffing existing coatings.

Applications

This versatile sanding disc is suitable for a wide range of professional applications:

• Automotive: Essential for paint preparation, including feather edging, scuffing old paint, and sanding primers and body fillers to achieve a perfectly smooth surface before final coating applications.
• Industrial: Effective for woodworking on hardwoods, plywood, and MDF, as well as for metal finishing tasks like rust removal and polishing. It is also utilized in aerospace, marine, and composite material preparation for surface refinement.
