While the Piston is a larger knife, its G-10 handles make it light enough for everyday carry. An Inset Liner Lock secures the blade when open. The Piston offers our quad-carry options and even has a lanyard attachment. Don’t see a hole in the handle? Exactly. There’s a hidden lanyard loop in the interior of the handle so nothing interrupts the Piston’s cool good looks. Made in the USA. About our Inset Liner Lock To build an Inset Liner Lock, Kershaw insets a strip of steel inside a knife’s handle—most commonly when the handle is G-10. Insetting the lock in this way enables us to create a slimmer knife, while still providing the strength and security of a locking liner.
