DAT - Complete Digital Automotive Tester Kit - OTC Tools and Equipment

OTC`s Digital Automotive Tester (DAT) is much more than a standard multimeter. It would take several tools to match the functions and features found in the DAT`s electronic toolbox.

The DAT automatically sets up the test for the circuit being tested. Simply turn the dual action selector wheel and/or press a function button to select the function desired. The DAT is ready to go, no additional set up required!

Select from the following set of features:

• Digital Multimeter - Autoranging for AC/DC volts, resistance, and amps; measures duty cycle, frequency, temperature, and RPM; continuity and diode test capabilities; MIN, MAX, Delta, adjustable limit setting, and much more. All located under the V/Ω/A selections. (Temperature requires additional adapter No. 3820-07.)
• Battery Drain Test - Complete parasitic battery drain tester. Also includes a self-calibration feature. (LEDs display test results.)
• Electrical System Test - Look for bad grounds, voltage drops, intermittent connections, or sources of high resistance in the automatic ground test function. You can even run a charging system test for diagnosing alternators and battery state. (LEDs display test results.)
• Sensor Tests - Get a quick and accurate diagnosis of the complete O2 circuit. The DAT is capable of sending a Rich/Lean signal to the ECM, and displaying crossing-per-second and O2 voltage simultaneously. (LEDs display test results.) Includes a glitch capture feature so you can identify any dropouts through the range of a TPS sensor. Also includes a custom setup for MAP, MAF, EGR, Crank, and Magnetic sensors.
• Fuel System Tests - The LEDs act as Noid Lights when the DAT is connected to a fuel injector. You can also measure injector on-time and peak voltage simultaneously. A dedicated mode reads line pressures with the pressure adapter. (Pressure requires an additional adapter.)
• Ignition System Test - The DAT is also a complete on-board kV tester. You can measure Peak Voltage or Burn Voltage with Burn Time simultaneously. Read RPM on 2- and 4-stroke engines. The Dwell option lets you select number of cylinders.
