Sophisticated 4 stage fully automatic charging program: (1) Safety-check initialization, (2) Constant current bulk charge, (3) Absorption to achieve full charge & (4) Float charge maintenance stage with Fully Battery-Interactive feature. Fully Battery-Interactive design allows the battery to determine the exact amount of current it needs in maintenance mode (up to the maximum 1.8 amps) to keep it fully charged even when power is being drawn from the battery by vehicle accessories such as an alarm or bad wiring. Use on 12 volt or 24 volt batteries. Appropriate for use on all types of batteries including filler cap and maintenance free batteries such as AGM, valve regulated (VRLA), flooded (wet) and GEL-electrolyte with a rated capacity of 17Ah and greater (12V) or 9Ah and greater (24V). Built-in cooling fan with sealed ball bearings ensures cool operation for enhanced service life. External temperature sensor controls the output current based on ambient temperature. Can be connected to irregularly or seasonally used batteries for months at a time without risk of overcharging. Carrying handle doubles as a cable & clamp storage device and can be easily detached and moved to bottom of unit when mounting to a wall. Two year limited warranty.
