Key Features:
The CTA Manufacturing Corp. 4251 17mm Metric Lug Socket features a unique design incorporating a removable, extra-thin carbon fiber protective sleeve. This sleeve serves a dual purpose: protecting delicate wheel finishes from potential damage during lug nut tightening or loosening, and enhancing the overall durability of the socket itself. The carbon fiber sleeve allows for a thicker socket wall design, providing increased resistance to cracking at the hex.
Applications:
This 17mm metric lug socket is designed for use in automotive applications requiring the tightening or loosening of 17mm lug nuts. Its protective sleeve makes it particularly well-suited for vehicles with high-value or easily damaged wheel finishes, such as alloy wheels or custom rims. The increased durability provided by the thicker socket design makes it ideal for heavy-duty use or applications involving high torque.
Benefits:
The integrated carbon fiber sleeve offers significant benefits. It minimizes the risk of scratching or marring wheel surfaces, preserving the vehicle's aesthetic appeal. The enhanced durability resulting from the thicker socket design contributes to a longer product lifespan and improved resistance to wear and tear, reducing the frequency of replacement. This results in both cost savings and reduced downtime.
