  • Simply choose the correct insert, slide the setting driver over the steering tube and tap the bearing into place with a hammer, avoiding any risk of damage.
  • The CRS-2M includes three specially shaped aluminum inserts (1", 1-1/8" and 1-3/8") and a heat-treated, universal setting driver.

    Pressing Lower Steering Bearing
      The lower steering bearing must be pressed onto the steering stem. Determine correct size of bearing for application. (Use a caliper if needed). Place bearing on steering stem and select most compatible CRS-2M insert. (If seal is separate, install seal first)

      Place insert and tool over the stem and above the bearing. Use a hammer and strike top of tool until bearing fully seats. The sound will change as it seats. Inspect bottom of bearing to be sure it is fully seated.
