The Coleman Cable 08666 Polar-Glo Clamp Booster Cables are engineered for reliable jump-starting in demanding automotive and industrial environments. Featuring heavy-duty 4-gauge conductors and illuminated clamps, these 16-foot cables ensure efficient power transfer and secure connections across various vehicle types and challenging conditions.
Key Features
- Robust Power Transfer: Utilize heavy-duty 4 AWG copper conductors for efficient current delivery, supporting 6-12V electrical systems in cars, SUVs, vans, and light-duty trucks.
- Polar-Glo Illuminated Clamps: Equipped with 500-amp clamps featuring glow-in-the-dark polarity indicators and triple-polarity identification, facilitating quick and secure connections in low-light and nighttime scenarios.
- Adaptable and Safe Clamp Design: Ergonomically designed, shielded clamps accommodate both top and side-post battery terminals, incorporating recessed live surfaces to minimize the risk of accidental shorts during use.
- Extreme Cold Durability: The T-Prene® cold-weather jacket maintains flexibility down to -40°F (-40°C), offering resistance to water, oil, and common shop chemicals, ensuring consistent performance in harsh winter conditions.
- Extended Reach and Management: A 16-foot cable length provides ample reach for jump-starting vehicles that cannot be positioned closely, while the no-tangle construction simplifies deployment and storage.
Applications
These booster cables are essential for professional technicians, tow operators, and fleet maintenance crews requiring dependable equipment for daily operations. They are well-suited for roadside assistance vehicles, dealership service bays, and municipal or commercial fleets, particularly in regions prone to extreme cold where cable flexibility is critical. The 08666 model is effective for jump-starting a range of passenger vehicles, SUVs, minivans, crossovers, and light-duty pickups equipped with 6–12V batteries.
