sup Fluid Transfer Pump Kit

This tool has been sold at auto parts stores under several different brand names, Koehler for one. Not to be confused with Kohler, a plumbing company. Different spelling.
I attempted to transfer gasoline from the tank in my auto with this. I know I put 5 gallons into the tank. Yet cannot siphon any of it out. I need to drop the tank to replace the fuel pump. Condensation on the tubing is the best this pump could provide. Never flowed anything.
