Identifier for R1234YF refrigerant - Mastercool

The Mastercool 691234YF-MINI Identifier is a robust, professional-grade tool essential for automotive technicians and mechanics working with R1234YF systems. This portable device accurately verifies the type and purity of R1234YF refrigerant in vehicle A/C systems, preventing costly cross-contamination, safeguarding expensive recovery and recycling equipment, and ensuring adherence to industry standards. Its rapid analysis capabilities facilitate efficient service operations and maintain the integrity of vehicle air conditioning systems.

Key Features

• Dedicated R1234YF Analysis: Confirms the presence of R1234YF refrigerant, analyzes its purity (detecting 97% pure R1234yf ±2%), and identifies high levels of air contamination, crucial for preventing mixing with other refrigerants.
• Fast, Consistent Results: Delivers quick and precise refrigerant analysis, enabling immediate go/no-go decisions at vehicle intake without delaying service processes.
• Compact & Durable Construction: Weighing only 2 lbs (0.8 kg) with a molded ABS housing and protective rubber sleeve, this unit is built for durability and easy transport between service bays.
• Intuitive Operation: Features straightforward controls, clear 'PASS' or 'FAIL' indicators, and provides automatic step-by-step guidance for gas sampling, including hands-free automatic pump calibration.
• Equipment & System Protection: Mitigates the risk of contaminating expensive recovery machines, cylinders, and vehicle A/C systems with unknown or mixed refrigerants, thereby protecting investments and ensuring proper functionality.

Applications

This identifier is ideal for automotive A/C service on late-model cars and light trucks equipped with R1234YF systems across domestic, European, and Asian platforms. It is invaluable at vehicle intake for pre-recovery verification, during recycling to prevent cross-contamination, and as a quality control check in dealership, fleet, and independent shops. Technicians also find it critical for diagnostics to confirm correct refrigerant type and purity before deeper A/C performance or leak testing.
