Pro Compression Tester - Equus Products

The Equus Products 3214 Pro Compression Tester is a robust diagnostic instrument engineered for accurate and efficient engine health assessment in professional automotive and industrial environments. This tool delivers precise cylinder compression readings, vital for diagnosing issues like worn piston rings, burnt valves, or compromised head gaskets with confidence.

Key Features

• High-Visibility Gauge: Features a large 3 1/2" (89mm) gauge with a protective rubber boot and an easy-to-read, color-coded dual scale (0-300 psi / 0-2000 kPa) for clear readings in various lighting conditions.
• Durable Meter Movement: Equipped with a heavy-duty Bourdon tube meter movement, ensuring consistent accuracy and longevity under demanding shop conditions.
• Extended Reach and Efficiency: A 24" high-pressure hose with a quick-disconnect coupling provides ample reach for accessing hard-to-reach spark plug ports, while an integrated side-release pressure valve allows for multiple consecutive tests without hose disconnection.
• Comprehensive Adapter Set: Includes 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm long-reach threaded adapters, offering broad compatibility with a wide range of gasoline engines, including those found in motorcycles, ATVs, and various automotive applications.
• Versatile Connection Options: Supplied with both threaded adapters and a direct shaft attachment, providing flexibility for different engine designs and testing preferences.

Applications

This professional compression tester is an indispensable tool for diagnosing performance issues in gasoline engines. It is ideal for technicians performing routine maintenance, pre-purchase inspections, or troubleshooting symptoms such as misfires, loss of power, excessive oil consumption, or rough idling. Its broad adapter compatibility makes it suitable for use on most modern and older vehicles, motorcycles, small engines, and other internal combustion power plants requiring cylinder compression analysis.
