E-Z Ratcheting Tubing Cutter (1-1/8")

**Product Description**

The EZ Ratchet Tubing Cutter is a patented, innovative tool that allows you to make close-quarter cuts without sacrificing the comfort or leverage you enjoy from a standard-size tubing cutter. Using an innovative, 360 degree ratcheting mechanism, the EZ Cutter rotates around the pipe for smooth, clean cuts. The EZ is great for cutting conduit that has been placed near a wall or other piping that would not allow the full rotation of a standard cutter. Includes an extra tempered cutting wheel stored on the handle.

  1. Position the tubing cutter around the pipe and tighten the knob until the pipe is snug between the blade and rollers.
  2. Turn the knob an extra one-half revolution for the first cut.
  3. Begin using the ratchet handle to turn the cutter around the pipe.
  4. As the tool cuts through the pipe, tighten the knob to keep pressure on the cutting surface.
  5. Continue ratcheting the cutter and tightening the adjustment knob until the pipe is cut.
  6. Use a reamer to remove any burrs formed on the surface of the pipe.

FAQs

  • How much pressure should I apply when tightening the cutter?

As a general rule, you should keep the cutter hand-tight at all times. If the tool is too tight, it will be difficult to turn around the pipe. If it is too loose, the cutter will spin too easily and will not make sufficient contact with the cutting surface. Retighten the knob after every full rotation of the cutter.

  • Which replacement blade should I use with this cutter?

This cutter uses RW121/2 replacement blades.
