Terminals and Connectors
Good wiring repairs start with the right terminal. This category covers the connectors technicians use to splice and terminate automotive wiring: sealed crimp-and-seal butt connectors with heat-shrink, crimp-and-solder connectors, ring and stud terminals, insulated quick-disconnect terminals, solderless terminal assortments and GM 56 series terminals.
Brands include Auveco and Disco Automotive Hardware. Each listing gives the wire gauge range, usually 22-18, 16-14 or 12-10 gauge, and the stud or tab size. Sealed heat-shrink connectors are the best choice for under-hood and underbody repairs where moisture and road salt are present.
Crimping tools and terminal release tools are in the Terminal Tools and Wire Crimping Tools categories.
