Waterproof 1/2 Sheets CC-P1200 - Eagle Abrasives

The Eagle Abrasives 131-1200 Waterproof 1/2 Sheets CC-P1200 are professional-grade abrasive sheets engineered for precision finishing in automotive and industrial applications. Featuring a superfine P1200 grit, these sheets are designed to deliver an exceptionally smooth, uniform surface, crucial for preparing materials for subsequent coatings or polishing. Their waterproof construction ensures consistent performance and extended durability, whether used wet or dry.

Key Features

• P1200 Superfine Grit: Ideal for achieving a refined finish, removing minor imperfections, and preparing surfaces for high-gloss coatings or compounding.
• Silicon Carbide Abrasive: Utilizes sharp, durable silicon carbide grains for efficient material removal and a consistently even cut, reducing overall buffing time.
• Waterproof Construction: Designed for wet sanding, which significantly reduces clogging, minimizes dust, and extends the abrasive's lifespan, preventing deterioration in damp conditions.
• Anti-Slip Flexible Backing: Features a robust and flexible backing that resists tearing and allows for enhanced control and conformity to various contours and shapes during sanding.
• Half-Sheet Convenience: Provided in a practical 5.5" x 9" half-sheet size, eliminating the need for tearing and ensuring compatibility with hand sanding blocks or specific sanding tools.

Applications

These waterproof abrasive sheets are indispensable for professional technicians and mechanics seeking a superior finish. They are particularly effective for light sanding prior to compounding on automotive paint, refining surfaces between coats of finish, and polishing metal to a high sheen. The P1200 grit excels in preparing clearcoats for buffing and removing very fine scratches on various materials, including wood, metal, and plastics. Utilizing these sheets wet helps to reduce airborne dust and prevents abrasive particles from embedding into softer surfaces, leading to a cleaner work environment and a more flawless result.
