The Norton BlueFire R860 ZA Coarse Grit TR (Type III) Plastic Flat Mini Flap Disc, Model 776960-90172, is engineered for efficient material removal in restricted spaces across automotive and industrial applications. Featuring a high-performance Zirconia Alumina abrasive, this disc delivers a consistent cut and extended durability when working with various metals, making it a reliable choice for professional grinding and deburring challenges.

Key Features

• Zirconia Alumina (ZA) Abrasive: Provides aggressive material removal with self-sharpening properties, ensuring an extended operational lifespan on steel, stainless steel, and other demanding metals.
• Coarse Grit Formulation: Effectively tackles heavy rust, scale, old coatings, and weld spatter, streamlining surface preparation processes for subsequent welding or coating applications.
• TR (Type III) Quick-Change System: Facilitates rapid and secure disc attachment and removal on compatible mini right-angle tools, improving workflow efficiency in busy workshops.
• Compact Flat Design: Enables precise access for grinding and deburring in tight corners, small components, and intricate geometries often inaccessible to larger discs.
• Flexible Plastic Backing Plate: The high-strength plastic backing absorbs vibration, contributing to improved operator comfort and increased durability under continuous professional use.

Applications

This mini flap disc is an essential tool for automotive repair, metal fabrication, and industrial maintenance shops. It excels in tasks requiring work within confined areas, such as cleaning welds, blending transitions, and removing rust or paint from vehicle frames, crossmembers, engine and transmission brackets, and suspension components. Technicians will find it highly effective for breaking sharp edges and preparing machinery parts. Compatible with mini grinders and die grinders that accept TR (Type III) quick-change discs, it performs reliably on various metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, alloyed steel, and aluminum.
