Imperial Wetordry Sheet, 1500 grade - 3M Automotive

The 3M Automotive 32023 Imperial Wetordry Sheet, 1500 grade, is engineered for professional automotive and industrial applications requiring precise surface refinement. This versatile abrasive sheet is designed to achieve exceptionally smooth and uniform finishes on painted surfaces and clear coats, effectively minimizing sanding marks and preparing surfaces for subsequent polishing and buffing processes. It offers robust performance for both wet and dry sanding, providing adaptability and efficiency for various project demands.

Key Features

• 1500 Fine Grit Silicon Carbide Abrasive: Features a sharp, synthetic silicon carbide mineral that cuts fast and smoothly. This abrasive self-fractures during use, continually exposing new cutting edges for consistent performance and extended product life.
• Wet or Dry Sanding Capability: Designed for flexible use with or without water, allowing adaptation to specific project requirements. Wet sanding helps reduce clogging and extends abrasive life while yielding a smoother finish.
• Durable, Flexible Construction: Built with a waterproof, lightweight "A-weight" paper backing that is durably resin bonded to conform easily to contoured surfaces, intricate shapes, metal, plastic body filler, or fiberglass, ensuring thorough and even sanding.
• Superior Finish Quality: Delivers a finish that is 10% smoother compared to conventional 3M sandpaper, optimizing surfaces for high-quality final buffing.

Applications

The 3M Imperial Wetordry Sheet is an essential tool for professional technicians in automotive repair, detailing, and restoration. Its 1500 grit is ideally suited for refining automotive clear coats and paints, effectively smoothing dust nibs, paint runs, and light paint texture. It excels at leveling minor imperfections and adjusting mismatched orange peel on all automotive paints, preparing surfaces for optimal final polishing and ensuring a superior finish. This sheet is also excellent for use in the "Finish" stage of the 3M Body Repair System.
