The Sunmight USA 07220 Plain Sheet is a professional-grade abrasive engineered for precision finishing in both automotive and industrial environments. This waterproof P1000 grit silicon carbide sheet delivers exceptional performance for delicate surface preparation and refinement tasks, ensuring a flawless finish.

Key Features

Waterproof Construction: Designed for wet sanding applications, this sheet helps to prevent clogging, reduces dust, and extends abrasive life, providing a smoother, more consistent finish.
Optimal Dimensions: Measuring 5-1/2 inches wide by 9 inches long, each plain sheet offers a generous working surface for efficient and even material removal.
P1000 Grit Silicon Carbide: The very fine P1000 grit, combined with durable silicon carbide grain, is ideal for achieving ultra-smooth surfaces, removing minor imperfections, and preparing substrates for final coating.
Durable Latex Paper Backing: The flexible yet strong latex paper backing ensures tear resistance and conformability, making it suitable for intricate contours and flat surfaces alike.
Resin Over Resin Bond: A robust resin over resin bonding system securely anchors the abrasive grains, providing superior heat resistance and minimizing grain shedding for consistent cutting action.
Closed Coat Design: Features a high density of abrasive grains across the sheet, contributing to faster material removal and a uniform scratch pattern for excellent final results.

Applications

This versatile plain sheet is an indispensable tool for professional technicians and mechanics working on fine finishing stages. It excels in automotive paint and body work for tasks such as removing paint defects, denibbing, scuffing clear coats, and preparing surfaces for polishing or final paint application. Industrially, it is highly effective for precise surface refinement on various materials, including composites, plastics, and non-ferrous metals, where a superior smooth finish is required.
