Robinair was founded in
1956 by the Kent-Moore
Corporation of Warren,
Michigan. Their specialty
was the design and
manufacturing of tools for
repairing appliances, due to
the increased popularity of
air conditioning in homes
and automobiles Robinair
move into these markets.
Robinair soon became a
world leader HVAC-R repair.
Robinair products are sold
into two primary markets;
Heating, Ventilation, air
conditioning, refrigeration
(HVAC-R) and mobile. The
mobile market encompasses
the automotive aftermarket
as well as agriculture,
construction, off-road, and
various other niche industries.
Robinair was formerly part of
SPX Corporation however
Since December 2012,
Robinair, OTC, Actron,
Sunpro, TIF and Autoboss
became Bosch brands and
were integrated into the
Automotive Service Solutions
Business Unit of the Bosch
Automotive Aftermarket
Business Division.
