Polyvance's Scimitar Welding tip is designed to weld plastic with flat strips, (ribbon welding rod) using an airless plastic welder. Instead of just smearing melted welding rod onto the surface, this plastic welding tip is designed to melt the base material and the bottom of the flat welding rod at the same time insuring a true fusion weld. Not only that, but it will also slightly v-groove the surface of the base material to increase the fusion area for an even stronger repair.
