1/4" Drive 15mm Deep Metric Impact Socket - Sunex Tools

The Sunex Tools 815MD 1/4" Drive 15mm Deep Metric Impact Socket is designed for professional automotive and industrial technicians working on demanding tasks in confined spaces. This impact-rated socket provides crucial extended reach and superior durability, enabling efficient access to recessed 15mm fasteners where standard tools often struggle. Its compact 1/4" drive profile is engineered for precision work in intricate vehicle compartments and machinery.

Key Features

• Extended Deep Well Design: Offers significant reach to deeply recessed 15mm fasteners, commonly found on engine covers, accessory brackets, and body hardware, often eliminating the need for additional extensions.
• Professional-Grade Durability: Constructed from forged and heat-treated chrome molybdenum alloy steel, this socket delivers robust strength and resilience for consistent use with 1/4" drive pneumatic and cordless impact wrenches and ratchets.
• Precision 15mm Hex: Features a precision-machined metric opening with a radius corner design, engineered to minimize slippage and reduce the risk of rounding on common fasteners across a wide range of domestic and import vehicles.
• Optimized 1/4" Drive Profile: The smaller drive size is specifically tailored for situations where bulkier 3/8" drive sockets are impractical, providing enhanced maneuverability in restricted engine bays and crowded suspension areas.
• Slim Outer Diameter: Engineered with a narrow profile, this socket improves access around adjacent components, wiring harnesses, and mounting brackets within modern, tightly packaged engine compartments.

Applications

The 815MD 15mm deep impact socket is an essential tool for professional automotive technicians, fleet service operations, and serious DIY mechanics. It is frequently utilized on smaller 15mm fasteners associated with engine covers, various accessory brackets, body mounts, interior dash components, and light suspension hardware. Its compact 1/4" drive setup proves particularly advantageous in late-model vehicles, both import and domestic cars and light trucks, where tight packaging demands precise control and enhanced access.
