1/2" Drive 22mm Thin Wall Deep Impact Socket - Genius Tools

The Genius Tools 445222 1/2" Dr. 22mm Thin Wall Deep Impact Socket is engineered for professional technicians and mechanics tackling challenging fasteners in automotive and industrial settings. This robust socket combines a deep profile with thin wall construction, providing essential reach and clearance in confined spaces without compromising strength. Constructed from high-strength Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel, it is designed to withstand the rigorous demands of impact tools, ensuring reliable performance and extended tool life.

Key Features

• 1/2-inch Drive Compatibility: Designed for secure attachment to standard 1/2-inch drive impact wrenches, ratchets, and breaker bars, facilitating efficient torque transfer.
• 22mm Precision Fit: Precisely machined for a 22mm hex profile, ensuring a snug engagement with corresponding nuts and bolts to minimize slippage and fastener rounding.
• Deep & Thin Wall Design: The deep profile offers extended reach for recessed fasteners and bolts with longer threads, while the slender exterior wall enables access in restricted areas, such as between wheel studs and lug nut wells. This design also helps prevent cosmetic damage to delicate surfaces like alloy wheels.
• Impact-Grade Durability: Forged from premium Chrome Molybdenum (Cr-Mo) steel and often enhanced with an oil-quenched heat treatment and matte black oxide finish, this socket delivers superior strength, toughness, and corrosion resistance to endure high-torque impact applications.

Applications

This 1/2" Dr. 22mm Thin Wall Deep Impact Socket is indispensable for various professional tasks:

• Automotive Wheel Service: Essential for the safe removal and installation of lug nuts, especially beneficial for alloy wheels with narrow access points where standard sockets may mar surfaces.
• Suspension and Brake Work: Ideal for engaging 22mm fasteners commonly found in automotive suspension components, brake assemblies, and chassis work.
• General Equipment Maintenance: Suitable for a broad range of mechanical and industrial applications requiring a durable 22mm deep impact socket for routine repairs, assembly, or disassembly.
• Tight Clearance Operations: Specifically engineered for situations where maximum accessibility is critical, allowing technicians to reach fasteners that are otherwise inaccessible with thicker-walled sockets.
