Kershaw Wharf - Kershaw Knives

The Kershaw Wharf (Model 1414) is a compact, cleaver-style folding knife designed for the rigorous daily demands faced by automotive and industrial professionals. This professional-grade cutting instrument provides robust performance and controlled one-handed operation, making it a reliable tool for technicians working with various components, packaging, and shop consumables.

Key Features

• Optimized Cleaver Blade: The 2.8" wide-profile 8Cr13MoV cleaver blade is specifically engineered for straight, precise cuts on common materials such as hose, plastic, zip ties, shrink wrap, and gasket sheet, frequently encountered in vehicle and heavy-equipment service environments.
• Resilient Stonewashed Finish: A durable stonewashed blade finish effectively conceals wear and scratches from constant use, helping the knife maintain a professional appearance even after rigorous daily work.
• Rapid, One-Handed Deployment: Featuring a flipper tab with SpeedSafe assisted opening, this knife allows for swift, single-handed blade deployment, a crucial advantage when the other hand is occupied with a component or wiring harness.
• Secure Professional Grip: A robust liner lock, combined with a finger choil and jimping on the spine, ensures a secure, choked-up grip for precise trimming tasks near sensitive components or painted surfaces.
• Lightweight Everyday Carry: The gray glass-filled nylon (GFN) handle keeps the knife lightweight at 2.9 oz, minimizing pocket bulk for comfortable all-day carry in the shop or during mobile service calls.

Applications

The Kershaw Wharf excels in a range of professional applications, including efficiently opening boxboard and parts packaging, cutting split loom, electrical tape, vacuum and coolant hoses, and gasket material on passenger cars, light trucks, and fleet vehicles. Its cleaver blade profile supports controlled push cuts on various shop consumables. With its compact 3.9" closed length, the Kershaw Wharf is a practical everyday carry for technicians, mobile mechanics, and industrial maintenance crews seeking a reliable, professional-grade cutting instrument.
