VIM Tools 7 Piece 12 Point Dual Drive Stubby UJ SAE Socket S - VIM Tools

The VIM Tools DDSUJ400 7 Piece 12 Point Dual Drive Stubby UJ SAE Socket Set is designed for professional technicians navigating challenging, hard-to-reach fasteners in both automotive and industrial environments. This versatile set features a compact, stubby profile with an integrated universal joint, offering efficient dual-drive access to recessed hardware without the need for additional adapters or extensions. Crafted for durability and innovative functionality, VIM Tools provides high-quality solutions for demanding professional applications.

Key Features

• 7-Piece SAE Coverage: Includes essential imperial fastener sizes from 3/16" to 9/16", suitable for domestic vehicles, light trucks, and various industrial equipment.
• 12-Point Socket Design: Engineered to provide multiple contact points, enhancing grip on standard and slightly worn fasteners while reducing the risk of rounding.
• Dual-Drive Configuration: Allows for drive tool insertion from either a 1/4-inch ratchet or an 11mm wrench, providing flexible access and improved leverage in obstructed work areas.
• Stubby, Compact Profile: The short length significantly improves access in confined engine bays, under-dash areas, and tight chassis locations.
• Integrated Universal Joint with Firm Flex: Delivers built-in flexibility with up to 90 degrees of articulation to navigate around components. The "Firm Flex" design tensions the universal joint, simplifying socket placement in tight spots and offering the lowest profile when used with a wrench.
• Professional-Grade Construction: Built for consistent daily use and long-term durability in demanding automotive and industrial service applications.

Applications

This socket set is particularly effective for professional automotive repair on domestic cars and light trucks utilizing SAE fasteners. It excels in engine bay tasks, such as accessing intake manifolds, accessory brackets, and cylinder head bolts. The stubby universal joint sockets are also valuable for under-dash repairs involving steering columns and HVAC housings. The DDSUJ400 proves valuable in industrial maintenance and equipment assembly where recessed, angled, or partially obstructed SAE nuts and bolts are encountered.
