RED 4.5X9 FINE SCUFF PAD - Mirka Abrasives

Part #: 18-118-447

Fine Abrasive Grade: Delivers a gentle yet effective scuffing action, suitable for delicate surface preparation.
Non-Woven Construction: Ensures a consistent and uniform scratch pattern across the entire surface, minimizing uneven abrasion.
Flexible and Conformable: Easily adapts to contoured surfaces, curves, and hard-to-reach areas, providing comprehensive coverage.
Load Resistant: The open structure prevents loading, extending the pad's lifespan and maintaining its cutting efficiency.
Durable Material: Engineered for robust performance, offering consistent results through repeated use in professional environments.
Color-Coded for Grade: The red color instantly identifies the pad as a fine-grade abrasive, streamlining selection and application.

Automotive Refinishing: Ideal for preparing clear coats, primers, and existing paint surfaces before applying new coatings.
Surface Preparation: Creates an optimal mechanical key for improved adhesion of paints, primers, lacquers, and sealants.
Blending and Finishing: Used for feathering edges and achieving a smooth, consistent finish on various materials.
Light Cleaning and Degreasing: Effectively removes contaminants, grime, and oxidation from surfaces without aggressive abrasion.
Woodworking: Suitable for denibbing, light sanding between coats, and preparing wood for stains or finishes.
Marine Industry: Prepares gelcoat and painted surfaces on boats for maintenance or new applications.

Enhanced Adhesion: The fine, uniform scratch pattern created by this Mirka scuff pad significantly improves the bonding of subsequent coatings, reducing rework.
Consistent Finish Quality: Achieve a professional, swirl-free finish due to the pad's uniform abrasive action, critical for high-quality paint jobs.
Reduced Risk of Over-Sanding: The fine grade minimizes the chance of cutting too deep, preserving material integrity and preventing damage to sensitive substrates.
Increased Efficiency: Its load-resistant design and durability mean fewer pad changes and more consistent performance over time, saving labor.
Versatile Performance: Effectively prepares a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, composites, and paints, for diverse project requirements.
User-Friendly Experience: The flexible design and comfortable handling make it easy to use by hand or with a hand pad block, even in intricate areas.
