1/4" SAE Brass Cap - CPS Products

The CPS Products AVC4 1/4" SAE Brass Cap is an essential component for professional automotive and industrial technicians, designed to safeguard the integrity of refrigerant systems. This robust, professional-grade service port cap provides a crucial secondary seal, effectively preventing refrigerant loss and protecting delicate service valves from environmental contaminants across various demanding applications.

Key Features

• High-Quality Brass Construction: Machined from durable brass, this cap delivers exceptional corrosion resistance and extended service life, even in harsh workshop and field conditions.
• Standard 1/4" SAE Compatibility: Engineered for a precise fit, it threads directly onto common 1/4" SAE service ports found on most automotive A/C systems and a wide range of HVAC/R equipment.
• Secure, Leak-Resistant Seal: Works in conjunction with the Schrader valve to provide a reliable seal, safeguarding against refrigerant leakage and helping maintain proper system charge over time.
• Contaminant Protection: Shields delicate service valves from damaging moisture, dust, and debris that can lead to corrosion, blockages, or premature component failure.

Applications

• Automotive A/C Systems: Essential for capping low and high-side 1/4" SAE service ports on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and older R-12/R-134a configurations where 1/4" fittings are utilized.
• HVAC/R Service: Ideal for sealing access fittings on commercial and residential air conditioning units, heat pumps, and various refrigeration equipment.
• Industrial Refrigeration: Protecting ports on chiller plants, walk-in coolers, display cases, and other process cooling systems in industrial and commercial settings.
• General Fluid and Gas Handling: Suitable for capping unused or temporary 1/4" SAE ports in compatible fluid transfer, vacuum, and test setups requiring a reliable mechanical seal.
